Not the movie…yet. But I wrote a novel from the feature screenplay & decided I should self publish directly to the audience. It’s been quite an adventure from writing the first draft off of the script, then the many revisions and edits before reaching this point.
Over the years, self publishing has really become quite a viable option. Especially with Amazon, who makes the process really easy. There are lots of tutorial videos and writers’ blogs that go through the process and best practices. The great thing is that once you’ve published the book — promoting it can be a continual process where you try different strategies to see what works best for your audience.
This book will be going live within a few weeks — I just ordered my author proof paperback copy to see how the finished product is going to look before I officially publish it to the world. In the coming weeks, I hope to chronicle the process a bit and give some insight on how I was able to take my IP and release the first tier of the multimedia strategy of book, film, audiobook & graphic novel!
